The Helm's Inn is comprised of three charming buildings,
each with its own distinct character and style.

The Parkside Building


The Parkside building is pleasantly located along Superior Street between the Thunderbird and Mount Royale buildings. Completed in 1967, the Parkside building is peacefully quiet and has a friendly, comfortable appearance. The second and third floors offer balconies perfect for sunny morning coffees and silent reading. All nine rooms include fully equipped kitchens ideal for extended stays in Victoria. Both smoking and non-smoking suites are available and all rooms provide all the preferred amenities to ensure your stay at the Helm's Inn is as comfortable as possible.

Directly across from Beacon Hill Park at the meeting of Superior and Douglas Streets is our Thunderbird building. Constructed in 1953 and created in the classic "International" style, the Thunderbird is the pulse point of the Helm's Inn. Here, a pleasant and knowledgeable front desk staff warmly greets guests and assists visitors to enjoy their visit to Victoria. The Thunderbird building has 19 charming and spacious rooms, all non-smoking and with attached kitchenettes. For your added enjoyment, there is also a sitting room located near the front foyer, with complimentary coffee and tea, ideal for reading, musing or casual conversation.

The Mount Royale Building


Built in 1948, the Mount Royale is located on Superior Street just one block from Beacon Hill Park and only footsteps away from the ever-changing Royal British Columbia Museum. The Mount Royale building offers 14 charming rooms and our spacious one-bedroom suites some with full kitchens. Over 85% of the rooms are non-smoking and they all are delightful. Modern conveniences in an old English Inn décor provide a cozy and comfortable atmosphere for your stay at the Mount Royale.
